What is truth and why must you ACT?
In the era of 'post-truth', it is worthwhile to revisit the dictionary definition of TRUTH:
"the body of real things, events, and facts."
As you can see from the definition above, Truth has nothing to do with your viewpoints, beliefs, wishes, biases or desires. Despite what some people may claim, there is only ONE Truth.
It is as constant as the Sun coming up in the morning and going down in the evening. It is a force of nature and is not open to interpretation.
Knowing the truth is a great start but by itself it is meaningless. As the Greek philosopher Socrates said: "Knowing is not the same as doing".
Once you know the Truth, it is imperative that you ACT on it and encourage as many other people around you to do the same.
This is the only way to ensure Truth prevails and humanity is living in its most natural and balanced way: in TRUTH!
Even if you are a minority of one, the truth is still the TRUTH. ~ Mahatma Gandhi
That is why our press was protected by the First Amendment-- the only business in America specifically protected by the Constitution.
Not primarily to amuse and entertain, not to emphasize the trivial and the sentimental, not to simply "give the public what it wants"--
but to inform, to arouse, to reflect, to state our dangers and our opportunities, to indicate our crises and our choices, to lead, mold, educate and sometimes even anger public opinion. ~ John F. Kennedy.
