Editorial Policy

Above all else:

If we ever make a mistake (as all humans inevitably do), we will correct it and if necessary, publish a retraction, as soon as we discover the mistake ourselves or are made aware of it by others.

1. Honest, accurate and fair reporting of all the important factual information. We will never intentionally supress pertinent factual information.
2. All information presented will be attributed to a source, if publicly available. When obtaining information from a whistleblower or a source who requests anonymity, we will respect such requests provided the information provided cannot be obtained from any other sources which do not require anonymity. 
3. We will maintain accuracy and fairness in our reporting regardless of personal views.  
4. We will always disclose any conflicts of interest (whether actual, potential or perceived).
5. We do NOT pay for information or accept payment to publish any story or information on this website. 
6. We never modify any audio-visual content in a way that may change its message. We may enhance or subtitle audio-visual content to make it easier to understand. Please refer to the statement on AI use below for further information.

AI has broken the economic bargain behind the web, and everybody is losing.

This website does and will deploy any technical solutions that are available, or become available in the future, to at the very least block AI crawlers and will gladly participate in any initiatives and collaborations to intentionally "poison" AI at scale.

All the sourcing, collation and verification of our investigations is a 100% human effort.

We may use AI for generating translations/subtitles when we come across information that is in a language that none of us are fluent in.

This includes header images for our articles and thumbnails for our videos and podcast episodes.

This is not expected to change but if it ever does, we will update this page accordingly and also send an email to our subscribers to advise them of this change.

Whenever possible, we always try to rely predominately (or even exclusively) on primary source material.

This can include (but is not limited to):

• Government records;
• Publicly available financial records;
• Public statements by individuals, companies and other business structures, whether provided orally (including through audio or video) or in written form.
• Documents we have obtained directly ourselves (e.g. through Freedom of Information Requests) or from whistleblowers.
• Whenever information is sourced through whistleblowers, we make all reasonable efforts to independently verify it to the best of our ability prior to publication.
• We protect the confidentiality of our sources to the best of our ability whenever a source asks for confidentiality.

As a general rule, Actionable Truth Media will only publish information that is in the public domain.

The only two exceptions to that are:

1. Information provided by whistleblowers after we have made reasonable efforts to independently verify its authenticity and accuracy; and
2. Information we have been able to source ourselves in a lawful manner and which on the balance of it, the public interest in making such information public exceeds the need or expectation of privacy.

Notwithstanding the above, Actionable Truth Media will NEVER publish:

• Home addresses of individuals;
• Private phone numbers; and
• Names or photos of family members that are not in the public domain.

Whenever we publish an investigation which may be construed as presenting any individual or organisation in a negative light, we will make reasonable attempts to contact said individuals or organisations prior to publication, using any publicly available contact details (email addresses, web contact forms or phone numbers) to give them a right of reply prior to publication.

Any reply will be included in the published piece as-is and without any edits.

If no response is provided prior to an article or podcast episode going live, we will publish the investigation without a reply. However, if a reply is provided at any time after publication, we will add it to the article or podcast show notes as-is and without any edits.

We do reserve the right though to add our own commentary on the reply provided, whether prior or after publication.
